“Passion for Fashion” Scholarship Competition

HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION

The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition is open to legal residents who are full-time high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or equivalent. Choose from one of two categories: 1) Fashion Design; or 2) Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management. Deadline for entry is January 20, 2012.

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE

A club scholarship will be awarded to eligible 2012 Pennsylvania DECA graduates who have been involved with DECA for at least two years, including their senior year of high school. Scholarship recipients will be awarded $1,000 to be used toward their first three terms of tuition. To qualify, you must be a first-year student; enroll as a full-time, degree seeking student; and submit a Central Pennsylvania College Scholarship Application online no later than April 1. HARRISBURG UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

Harrisburg University awards one scholarship covering full tuition for one year ($22,500). The award will go to a Junior with a 3.3+ GPA who competes at the Pennsylvania CDC. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated interest in business management, health care administration, entrepreneurship, or information and communication technologies.

THE RESTAURANT SCHOOL AT WALNUT HILL COLLEGE
1st, 2nd and 3rd place Restaurant & Food Service Management
1st, 2nd and 3rd place Quick Serve Restaurant Management
1st, 2nd and 3rd place Hospitality Services Team Management

1st place receives a $3000.00 scholarship,
2nd place receives a $1800.00 scholarship
3rd place receives a $1200.00 scholarship.

DUBOIS BUSINESS COLLEGE

Four one-quarter total tuition scholarships to be awarded at each DBC campus (DuBois Campus, Huntingdon Campus, and Oil City Campus). The amount awarded will depend upon the program of study in which the student is enrolled. The scholarships awarded could range between $4,800 and $5,600.

DECA members must submit a letter requesting a scholarship application. Students can contact the DBC Admissions Department, Financial Aid Department, or Gail Urban, Student Services Director, at (814)371-6920 or 1-800-692-6213 to request an application.

JOHNSON AND WALES UNIVERSITY

Johnson & Wales scholarships (up to full tuition) are available to PA DECA students. Scholarship application can be found on admission application, which can be found on-line at http://www.jwu.edu

PITTSBURGH TECHNICAL INSTITUTE

PTI awards three (3) partial tuition scholarships, valued at $6,000 each, to high school seniors active in DECA.
This scholarship can be renewed for the student’s second year at PTI if a 3.0 grade average is maintained.

NEWPORT BUSINESS INSTITUTE
