What is the Business - Educator Exchange?
It is the opportunity for our State Business Partnership members to visit local DECA chapters and for DECA chapters to visit our State Business Partners place of work.

Why have a Business - Educator Exchange?
This gives all interested parties the opportunity to see firsthand what is happening in the classroom and in the real world. Students and businesspeople benefit by exchanging information in order to improve the quality of the workplace and classroom environments.

Follow-up visits will help to strengthen the marketing education curriculum, students will begin to formulate career paths and all DECA activities will be enhanced by the exchanges.

What can I do to help the students in the classroom?
Business partners can offer advice to teachers and students on current marketing and business trends. Business partners could "coach" the DECA members in preparation for their competitive events, be it a written research or competency-based competitive event. Students will benefit from your valuable business experiences.

How can the students help the business partners?
A ready and reliable workforce is available to you through your local marketing education/DECA program. Students also provide you with valuable research information based on your business. The DECA written research events can be a valuable tool for your business. Students can also provide you with immediate feedback regarding your business. Teenagers are a key market segment in today's economy.
