State Conference Registration Procedures Featured

Hello Members and Advisors!

Please remember that Friday, January 22nd is the registration deadline for the 2016 State Career Development Conference. This means that all housing and registration forms must be sent in no later than this date. In addition to registration, all written events must be mailed and emailed, and all Plan of Action entries must be submitted, by the 22nd. Below, please take note of information that will assist advisors and students when submitting all of your materials. We hope to see all of you “Bring the Beat” in Hershey, so don't delay in processing your registration materials!

 

Advisor Registration Information:

Registration forms must be emailed to Mr. Howard Leight (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Any corrections must be received by January 29th.

Registration fees must be mailed to Mr. James White (PO Box 15294, Pittsburgh, PA  15237)

Housing forms must be sent to Michele Maxwell at the Hershey Lodge in one of the following ways:

All students are required to complete the PA DECA Permission Form

You will be asked to sign your name at registration stating that you have all permission slips in hand, but you will not need to turn them in.

 

Written Event Submission Procedures:

One original in a DECA folio plus two copies must be postmarked by January 22 to:

New this year: Entries must be postmarked by Jan. 22, with tracking # included on registration. Hand delivery will no longer be accepted. Five penalty points will be assessed for each day postmarked after deadline, and none will be accepted after Jan. 25.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by January 22 to be assessed for plagiarism and adherence to the DECA Competitive Events Checklist, via Turnitin.com. Please follow these steps when saving and sending your written events via email:

Save file as a Microsoft Word document.

Save name as:  EVENT CODE-SCHOOL-LAST NAMES- 2016

Suggested:  Use 1” margins (top, bottom, left and right), and use Arial font, size 11.

 

Plan of Action Submission Procedures: 

Plan of Action submissions must be completed by January 22nd in one of the following ways:

Postmarked to Highlands High School by the 22nd (Attn. Zach Wells, DECA Advisor, 1500 Pacific Avenue, Natrona Heights, PA 15065)

All Muscular Dystrophy Association checks must be either mailed to Highlands High School or dropped off at the SCDC Registration booth on March 1st.

Upon review of your submission you will be contacted by Joshua Nulph to confirm your level of recognition.

As a current senior at East Stroudsburg High School, I am actively involved with many organizations and activities.
